South African queen of Kwaito, Mshoza, real name Nomasonto Maswangayi has allegedly died.
The news sent shockwaves across social media on Thursday morning.
It is reported that the singer died at a Joburg hospital today.
Mshoza was catapulted to fame in the late 1990s and released some smash hits such as Kortez, which is still a massive bop.
In the mid-2000s the kwaito queen made headlines for not only her music but her personal life being in shambles.
Amongst the drama and controversy was her skin bleaching and toxic marriage.
She bounced back to continue reigning as queen by releasing ‘Abantu Bami’ which addressed a lot of the controversy in her life.
This come back song was a perfect one for Mshoza as it gained a lot of traction across multiple radio stations in the country.

It is still unclear what caused the death of the music star.
There is also no news on the funeral arrangements.
She leave behind her tow beautiful children, Pride and Jacob who are under the age of 12.
